Session on Social Media & Election - Yi Vadodara
Yi Vadodara under the learning vertical organized a session on Social Media & Election with an objective to understand how social media platform can affect political views.
Yi Members were shown a video which observed social media and its effect on perceptions that users have on any posts which they see that is circulated from one user to another.
In recent times social media platform are currently being used by two out of three people, and search engines are used daily. Monitoring what users share or search for in social media and on the Web has led to greater insights into what people care about or pay attention to at any moment in time. Furthermore, it is also helping segments of the world population to be informed, to organize, and to react rapidly. However, social media and search results can be readily manipulated, which is something that has been underappreciated by the general public.
A debate and interaction was also carried where members were involved to create a SWOT analysis on the subject. The session was well received by Yi Members.

Young Indians Entrepreneurship & Innovation vertical organized a visionary insights with Mr Varun Agarwal on 18th May 2018 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Pune.
He is an Indian first-generation entrepreneur, film maker and author. He has co-founded three companies, including Alma Mater, an online store for student and alumni merchandise, and authored a national bestseller How I Braved Anu Aunty and Co-Founded a Million Dollar Company.
The session covered the areas of identifying business plans,
understanding the market, innovations and new modules that help an organization
to grow. He also touched his personal experiences on knowing a business plan
and how personal journeys can influence our professional decisions.

Young Indians, Amaravati Chapter organized a Learning Mission to “KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd” for Yi members on 29 March 2018 in Vijayawada.
The objective of this visit was to understand the best practices being carried out by KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.
Members has visited Ethanol Plant; Hospital and School run by KCP Sugar.
Mr Bhaskar Nannapaneni, Chair, Yi Amaravati Chapter & CEO, Nannapaneni Venkata Rao College of Engineering & Technology welcomed the members.

Annual Session of Young Indians Amaravati Chapter
Young Indians, Amaravati Chapter organised its Annual Meeting and a Session on “Empowering Youth : Skilling, Entrepreneurship & Job Creation” on 1 March 2018 at Vijayawada.
Mr Bhaskar Nannapaneni, CEO, Nannapaneni Venkata Rao College of Engineering & Technology was appointed as the Chapter Chair of the Young Indians Amaravati Chapter for the year 2018-19 and Mr Saathvik Chukkapalli, Director, Popular Shoe Mart India Pvt. Ltd has been appointed as the Co Chair for the Amaravati Chapter for the year 2018-19.
Earlier, Mr Tarun Kakani, Outgoing Chair, Young Indians (Amaravati Chapter) welcomed all the speakers and made a detailed presentation on the activities of Young Indians Amaravati Chapter for the year 2017-18. During his presentation, he highlighted the unique initiatives undertaken by the chapter. He thanked the members for their unflinching support.
Mr Jacob Joy, National Chairman, Young Indians & Director, J J Confectionery Pvt Ltd spoke on the roles and responsibilities of Young Indians in Nation building and also how Yi is playing an active and important role in working with all the stakeholders in shaping the young minds of India to participate in this journey.
Mr JSRK Prasad, Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh and Chief Executive Officer, Better Castings addressed the Session.
Mr P Venkat Ram Reddy, Chairman, CII Vijayawada Zone & General Manager - Industry Affairs, ITC Ltd Division has emphasized to take more initiatives in the coming year between CII and Yi and work together in a more effective and productive manner by engaging more youth. He has also mentioned about the hard work, unflinching commitment and efforts undertaken by the Young Indians Amaravati Chapter.

Yi Kolkata chapter flew Dr Agrawal to address a session of it's members on his study on "Supply Chain Management of Mumbai Dabbawala and Mumbai Paperwala", a study which has made to the hallowed lecture Halls of the Harvard University.
However, the session of Mr Agrawal was with a twist. Deviating from his usual lecture style, yesterday's session had dynamic young businessmen of the city scurrying across the seminar Hall in an attempt to recreate the Dabbawala processes. Dr Agrawal had the audience captivated throughout and takeaways included key skills in logistics and supply chain management with several members stating that they were able to identify where they could improve systems in their own organisations.

Yi Siliguri Chapter organised a Learning Session on recent GST developments with Mr Rakesh Mishra, Practising Advocate & Speaker on GST Laws on topic relating to E-Way Bill, Import Export Procedures as well as Refund for Importers and Exporters on Saturday 5 May 2018 at 1700 Hrs at The Deck.
