The membership of Young Indians is open (subject to approval by the concerned committee at each chapter) for a person of Indian origin between the age group of 21 to 40 and an existing member can continue until the age of 45. There is no entry barrier to become a member of this organisation; any person in a legal profession whether it is a lawyer, doctor, professional, farmer, businessmen or an NGO worker can become members and contribute to the nation building activities and initiatives of the chapter through the various verticals and platforms / special initiatives. While the membership has no entry, it is expected that the member, as part of the organisation that is parented, guided and mentored by India's premier business association, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) abides by the rules, regulation and the protocols of CII; whether it is in relationship to be part of / initiating an event, inviting speakers, media interaction, relationship with the secretariat and matters related to finance.
There is a membership subscription levied on members each year and the same stands at INR 8000 + 15% Service Tax (INR Eight Thousand + 15% Service Tax) for individual members and INR 12000 + 15% Service Tax (INR Twelve Thousand + 15% Service Tax) for couple membership. The membership subscription is collected on a pro rata basis as per the following table:

Apart from the above, each new member joining the organising will also be given a membership kit worth INR 1500 (INR One Thousand Five Hundred only). This fee will be in addition to the membership subscription above and the Executive Member of the chapter will give you more details.
An activity fee (that differs from chapter to chapter) is collected in addition to the membership subscription for organising various initiatives at the chapter and the same will be let known by the Executive Member of the chapter at the time of enrolment. This is however an optional addition and chapters are free to levy this and the amount or decide not to. A ‘One Time Joining Fee’ is also an additional structure that is optional for chapters to charge only new members. The need for adding this fee and the amount per person is left for the chapter leadership to decide and the same will be let known to potential members by the chapter Executive member, if applicable.

A person shall cease to be a member of Yi if he / she does not subscribe to the Yi objectives, initiatives or spirit and contravening the norms and rules of acceptable behavior or is convicted of any criminal offence by a competent government authority /court and with the approval of an absolute majority (2/3rd) of the Executive Committee and the past chapter chairs in consultation with the Chair of Yi for the region.
