Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Former Hon’ble Vice-President of India inaugurated CII-Young Indians Parliament organised on 25th July at the historic Egmore Museum Theatre in Chennai.
The session was also graced by the presence of Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, Member of Parliament who congratulated CII’s Young Indians for organising the Young Indians parliament and said that our country has one of the largest youth populations in the world and every youth needs to join Politics as our country needs Young leaders in the Judicial system.
Earlier delivering the Special Remarks, Mr Arun Rathod, National Vice Chairman (Designate),CIIs Young Indians said Young people bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a passion for change. Your involvement ensures that the policies and laws enacted today are inclusive and forward-thinking, addressing the needs and aspirations of the younger generation.
The Young Indians is an integral part of CII, a dynamic and influential platform, fosters leadership and entrepreneurship among the youth. Through its various initiatives, YI aims to empower young individuals to take proactive roles in shaping the future of India.
The Yi Parliament is one such initiative, designed to engage young minds in discussions about governance, policymaking, and the future of our nation and to bring together young leaders from across the region to simulate parliamentary processes, debate critical issues, and propose innovative solutions to contemporary challenges. Its primary goals are to enhance the understanding of democratic processes, promote civic engagement, and nurture the next generation of responsible and effective leaders.
The session was also addressed by Mr Vishal Mehta, Tamil Naidu Regional Chair-Yi, Mr Darshan Mutha, National Chair- Yi Thalir and Mr Srivas Anantharaman, Chair–Yi Chennai.
The two days session has been attended by school students across Chennai city.
