We are the voice of Young Indians globally.
Young Indians conceived Project Masoom to keep children safe, which was nationally launched by Kailash Satyarthi, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and founder of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, at the Yi annual summit “Take Pride” on March 12, 2015. Masoom is one of the key projects of Yi, where we work on various initiatives towards creating awareness on child safety and protection and eliminating child sexual abuse and harassment with awareness sessions, campaigns, events and social media across the country. Project Masoom works in partnership with the Childline India Foundation, UNICEF India, Arpan, the We Protect Global Alliance, and many other noted organisations to spread awareness about child safety.
The project has come a long way, affecting millions of people in communities and receiving support from well-known figures. Under this project, Yi conducts awareness and sensitization sessions with children, teachers and parents/caregivers. Every year, young Indians designate November 14–20 as Masoom Week and November 20 as Masoom Day. Yi also collaborates with authorities and administration for support towards our cause and to spread awareness about child protection to the public by organising campaigns in cities through rallies, hoardings, theatre festivals, carnivals for kids, exhibitions, skits, the celebration of Yi Masoom Day and Week, and talk shows on radio and TV channels.
